Howard Commons Door Code Generator

Create a random door code for your front door. This page does not save any data. Generate a code, then use the email button to send it to the property manager.

How the lock works

Your door has an electronic keypad with numbered buttons 0 through 9 (plus * and # at the bottom - you won't need those two) and red and green lights at the top. After entering your code, you turn the lever to open the door.

Three simple rules:

  1. Press your 4 digits in order, one button at a time - no start key needed.
  2. Green light means the code was accepted - turn the lever and open the door. Red light means it wasn't - wait a moment and start over from the first digit.
  3. The lock relocks itself when the door closes - no need to lock up when you leave.

About your code

Your new code

It doesn't look like an email app opened on this device. No problem - copy the message below and paste it into an email (Gmail, Outlook, etc.) to HC@alliancewi.com.

Copied - paste it into a new email.

How to enter your code on the door

  1. Press your four digits in order, one at a time. Press each button firmly.
  2. When the green light flashes, turn the lever and open the door.
  3. If the red light flashes or you make a mistake, wait a moment and re-enter the full code from the first digit.
  4. Don't wait too long between digits - if you pause, start over from the beginning.
  5. The lock relocks itself when the door closes - you don't need to do anything to lock up.

Keep your code safe

This code unlocks your apartment. Keep it private. Do not post it where others can see it, and do not share it with anyone who should not have access to your home. A fee applies to change your code after move-in - contact the office. If you think your code has been seen by someone else, contact the office so it can be changed.
